Security Officer Duties:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment - Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activities or incidents - Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances - Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure compliance - Provide assistance to visitors and employees as needed - Conduct regular inspections of access points, gates, and fences - Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records - Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required - Proven experience as a security officer or related role preferred - Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally - First aid and CPR certification preferred - Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols is a plus - Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and practices - Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment effectively - Strong observation skills with the ability to identify potential security risks or threats - Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods of time
